If it is tough to get exercise and parents get angry for extensive game play, the Nintendo Wii will convince them otherwise for both gaming and exercise. Gaming is now an extension of the mind and body, using hand-eye coordination to master the adventurous levels. Motion sensory gaming provides exercise by using the body to act out characters motions in a game. It makes people get off the couch, and interrelate with the games. It’s also fun for the entire family. Although graphics play a large role on games too. If it’s difficult to handle motion, but simple to enjoy seeing real life, clear, high definition game graphics, there is a console for that too, the Playstation 3. Providing the best graphics in a game ever, in which some games it is possible to actually see the sweat coming down from there face, or the hairs on there skin. Be familiar with about each system, the Wii and the Playstation 3, and what people have to say about them.

What is the Nintendo Wii? A next generation gaming console that is one of a kind. The Wii is an entirely different world; it is the first system to have motion sensory capabilities (Temperton 1). It uses the Wii Remote as a controller which has standard buttons, but is used as a motion sensored remote. When moving in real life, the game mimics the commands on TV (Temperton 1). “I like the feel of it. I like the look of it” that’s what Darryl Bingley of Detroit had to say about the Wii (Henrickson). The Wii has fully functional backwards compatibility. This means it can play games from previous consoles of Nintendo. People call this game play the Wii’s virtual console (Temperton 1). It is able to play NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube games all in one system (Temperton 1). Let’s not forget the Wii’s internet, Wi-Fi 24/7 (Temperton 2). The Wii has a Bluetooth system inside the Wii; this gives it Wi-Fi ability. Even when the Wii is shut off, it has the power to connect to the internet with its wireless adapter (Temperton 2). Although the Wii isn’t the only console in its generation.

Sony’s Playstation 3 is a revolutionary system as well. The PS3 has the best functionality and graphics of the third generation period. The Playstation 3 can also display up to 1080 pixels in High Definition, able to use Blu-ray technology, have an immense 60 GB hard drive, and wireless dual shock controllers (Haider). For all its worth, it’s a bit pricy costing $599 USD (Grossman). But if you have that much money to spare it may be a good idea with all its features. The game play is inverted with six axis motion sensory controllers. It is capable to play in and out of the game with real movements. The PS3 is also able to hold music, movies, applications, and more on its massive 60 GB hard drive. Using the most extensive graphics ever seen, which can display 1080 p it is almost as clear as real life. It may be a good console, but everyone knows what system is the best.

The people have some opinions on the consoles as well. The Wii is a very innovative system, the newest of its kind. It has an innovative system that is exceptional from every system ever made. Many people are worried of the two consoles expensive prices. The Wii although has a bargain price of only $250.00 whilst the PS3 is a monstrous $600.00. For all its features the PS3 may be worth the price, but with an extra game bought with the Wii it’s hard to decide. Many people claim the Wii is for everyone, and the PS3 is for those serious gamers. Also parents alike can play the Wii with its motion sensory peripherals because it’s not hard to play a game to with sports, but for the PS3 it’s difficult to play shooting or fighting games for parents (Wiichat). Because the Playstation 3 is used for hardcore gamers and the Wii is more for children than it is experienced gamers. With its simple new game play, anyone can play the Wii. The Playstation 3 and Wii are the newest systems out but which once console is better is the real question.

The Wii is very popular as well as the PS3. The Wii is an original system, and the PS3 is a high-tech system. The Wii is an innovative system that’s not like any other, but the PS3 has graphics like no other. Picking the right one may be the choice of a lifetime. It’s easy to buy both, but wasting money on the PS3 is not worth it. Be informed about the Wii and the PS3 before buying, and take in consideration of the public’s outlook.
