Summer is at end, and school has just begun. If I were to tell you what happened during my summer this is how it would go:

June 7th, was a good day, as far as I can remember, it was the day school ended. The only reason I was looking forward to my summer is because of the new movies that were coming for the 2007 year. In corresponding order I think it was Transformers, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Simpson’s, and some others. However, my summer turned out to be a dreadful disaster.

On the very same day school was out, another disaster began, drivers training or drivers ed. We sat down and watched a couple of safety videos that were made in the 70’s. Afterwards it was a busy month June because we had an immense amount of drivers ed training to do. Usually I went to school everyday at 10:00 am and stayed in class until 11:30 am. Then I waited 30 minutes for my range class at 12:00 to 12:30, and afterwards I wait another 30 minutes for a 2-3 hours actual driving class with 3 other people. So every other day I would have range and driving but each day of the week excluding weekends I would have class. It took about 3-4 hours each day. Even though it was worth it getting a permit, I had another problem on my hand.

Summer school is always a bummer as portrayed on most TV shows. It’s not that I am stupid, it’s because my sister and parents want me to take advanced classes in my sophomore year so I have to take the easy classes in the summer. In this case Health Ed and Biology, Health is a semester course and Biology is a yearlong course, both I had to complete together in less than one month. I would wake up early, go to school at 9:00 am and then study and finish work problems until 12:00 am, I would have no lunch to eat, so I waited one hour, and then went to class again from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm where I would get picked up. However, summer school wasn’t all so bad, aside from passing both classes with A’s I managed to design my new website and create blueprints on paper. While everyone else was eating, I was busy creating a new website on paper at school. I wrote down all the keywords, competition, drew the design by hand, made a list of all the requirements, needs, etc. It was all for my latest website called the Dev Network.

After summer school ended I focused mainly on my new Developer resource community. I got myself a nice programmer and he is still to this day from Aug. 19th working on the community which should be released soon. I planned everything out and after summer school ended on July 11th my real summer began. But still I was dedicated to work on my newest project. I spent many hours planning everything out, until July 18th I bought the domain, and bought a fresh vBulletin license for 85$. Afterwards I released the website officially on July 21st (21 is my lucky number). I had two interviews in the summer, and made many blog posts on the Developer articles section over 10 to be exact. I received on the first month over 2000 posts and 800 threads including 75 members. I was reaching the high 300k Alexa rank as well. I recently bought a custom design for 75$ and am getting it coded for more money as we speak.

It’s about the middle of August when I realize I have summer homework to do for AP Chemistry and Honors English 10. I have to read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, To Kill a Mockingbird and The Crucible by Sept. 4th. And not many of you know that I discretely despise reading. I don’t mind reading informational things such as on forums, articles, blogs, or magazines. But fantasy books that are worded in old folk language just damn piss me off. Fortunately, I finished the 3 books and the two essays I had to complete for them. School has started for me, and it’s been dreadful. I have the worst lunch ever, the lamest classes ever, and my entire school life is controlled by my sister, who thinks she knows what’s best for me.

Well there you go Dan. Thanks for entering! I’ll try to hold another contest soon. Well I will write the review ASAP, but I make no guarantees. This is because today was the first day of school for me. YAY! Not really, I’m dead tired. Here is my schedule

1st Hour- Pre Calc. This class is really easy we have group quizzes, and I already have extra credit for doing a puzzle.
2nd Hour- Health. This is my blow off class. Easy but really boring.
3rd Hour- Honors/IB chemistry- Hardest class I have. I hope the teacher can actually teach.
4th Hour- Spanish III- Relatively easy, but we actually have to participate to get a good grade
5th hour- Honors English 10- Moderate class, but we already have a test tomorrow!
6th Hour- US GOV- I’m in a class full of juniors (I’m a sophomore), I don’t know anyone. Hopefully I can make some new friends.

Thus concludes my schedule. Again congrats Dan! I will post the review ASAP.

First off, my friends and I went to see the new movie Rush Hour 3 which happened to come out on my birthday. I’ve been a long Rush Hour fan, and it was great! Definitely the best movie of this summer. If you haven’t already, you should go see it.

After watching the movie, my friends(including Usman) went to my home to play Halo 2. I’ve never played Halo 2 with more than two people. It was great fun. For my birthday presents I got the traditional money, SAT books from my parents, and an Xbox game.

Now if you’re the generous kind that want to make my birthday special (I know this post is a little late don’t blame me). There are many things that you can do online to make me happy!

It was only 9:18 P.M. and I had to get home before 9:30 P.M. Me and my friends were walking with me so I told them let’s just take the short cut to my place. Now I am stunta’ and a stunta’ ain’t nobody till the day he gets shot. And the worse thing after getting shot as Mr. Krabs would say is, “Oh no, not me money!”.




That’s exactly what happened, I was shot with a bbgun 3 times in the chest. They were zinc plated bullets that penetrate the skin, and cause bleeding, and get stuck inside the body. I had to hire a special hand surgeon to remove the bullets which cost me $2675.00. That was complete bull****. It’s not that hard to put some anesthesia in your hand to numb it and then remove 3 small 3 cm bullets with a tweezer. No heart revival, or pulmonary response required kids.

Anyways, as I was telling the doctor how it happened, he said he was familiar with that alley as he got shot there before as a child as well. He told me it was called Deygone Alley, a mockery of Harry Potter I thought similar to Diagon Alley. In Ebonics it basically means, they be gone alley, or Dey-gone-alley. You can probably understand why it’s called that since after they shoot em, they be gone.

Alex: That’s me! I’m the writer for Usmans World, and I’m 14. Before that, I wrote for various television shows on Nickelodeon including: Rugrats, Catdog, and Invader Zim. More recently, I’ve been writing for Zoey 101. Actually, the only reason I write for Zoey 101 is to meet Jamie Spears. We don’t really know each other that well, but one time I found out she had a boyfriend named Casey. People think they broke up, because he was mistreating her. They don’t know half of it. I was writing the script for the next episode, when I saw them together. I decided to take matters into my own hands and got this group of gay guys together. I got them to go up to her boyfriend and say ‘See you at the Gay Pride Parade!’ It was hilarious! Jamie freaked out and the next thing you know she was single again.

Usman: He’s the web developer for the website and is also 14. Before starting up Usmans World, he worked as one of Microsoft’s programmers. At that time they were working on fixing some bugs on Microsoft Word and Excel. Bill Gates liked him a lot, but fired him because he brought his iPod to work. Harsh but Usman moved on. He got a job as programmer for Apple. It didn’t work out either, because he got fired from being caught using Microsoft Word.

Now here are eight facts about me:
1. I’m an avid video game player and right now, I’m playing Warcraft III The Frozen Throne and Maplestory. If you play any of these games tell me your username.
2. I enjoy playing golf and table tennis. Although I suck at golf, I’m really good at table tennis. I’ve gone to China to practice and usually try to play everday.
3. My favorite movie is Rush Hour 2. It’s so funny, but there’s also a lot of action to it. It also has a storyline that makes sense! Borat is probably the funniest movie I’ve ever seen, but the storyline felt like it was written by a drunk eight year old. Rush Hour 3 is coming out on August 10!
4. Currently, I’m taking driver’s ed. In a few days, I’ll have my permit and will be able to drive with parents in the car.
5. My favorite food is chicken wings. Any type of chicken wing will make my mouth water. However, I do like Chinese food better than American food.
6. My favorite fast food restaurant is KFC. The chicken is so good; I don’t know why people prefer McDonalds. I hate to say it, but McDonalds has a monopoly on the fast food market.
7. I prefer Yahoo over Google. Google is too much of a beast. I mean c’mon, Google bought feedburner and Youtube. They were even planning to buy Facebook. Someone really needs to slow them down.
8. My favorite book is the BFG, and my favorite author is Roald Dahl. He rocks, and he’s so underrated.
