Exam Time!

High School is known for causing a lot of stress and pain. In fact, they should have a warning label for eighth graders: Warning! Entering High School may cause serious stress and sometimes can be fatal. However, there is one word that causes more stress than anything else: Exams.
Usman and I (Alex) are currently taking exams. That’s why over the next few days, we might not update as much as we want to. However, after exams, is summer, so we should be able to update a lot and get a lot of things done. If you’re also going through the torture of exams, here is a list of things to do to help you ace those tests.
Sleep Well- I know a lot of teachers already tell you this, but it’s true. For mid-terms this year, I stayed up playing computer games until two the day prior to exams. Let me just tell you I got the lowest scores on the exams the next day than the other ones that I took.
Eat Breakfast- Don’t skip on the day of exams, no one thinks well when they have an empty stomach. Besides, you should always eat a good breakfast.
Ask Questions- If you don’t know something, you’ll never know it if you don’t ask. I know it sounds obvious, but you don’t know how many times I’ve seen students not get something and never ask about it.
Finally, Study!- If you do everything but study, you’ll still have a hard time passing them. I know there are some blow-off classes, but for most classes you need to study. Also, make sure you study weeks prior to exams. Cramming information at the breakfast table on the day of exams doesn’t cut it.
Fine, perhaps those are common sense tips. But do you want to know the real black magic studying tips? Yeah that’s right, there are secret ways that only selected students use.
Expect the Unexpected- It’s true, expect what you least expect, sometimes that is on your test. For example, if a teacher says something twice and your listening in, try to listen carefully, there may be something that is on the test.
Have A Snack- Yes it works. Trust me there isn’t a better feeling than getting stumped on a problem and then whalaa! A magic bottle of Mountain Dew pops up and you drink it, and drink it, and then you feel refreshed. Like it’s a new day and a new problem!
Exam Reviews- If your teach gives you an exam review, but you don’t use it, then you’re hurting yourself. You wouldn’t beat yourself up would you? Then try doing your exams reviews, even if they aren’t required or turned in for an assignment.
Well, there you have it! There are some tips and tricks to boost your grade. Wish us luck on the exams!
