How do Energy Drinks Give you Energy?
May 14th, 2007 by Alex

Are you tired, lifeless, and sulky? Forget Einstein’s equation energy equals mass times constant squared, energy drinks have been offering energy in liquid for an industry accounting for 3 billion of our dollars a year. Some claim to have secret extracts of plants that synergize to give you energy. However, the FDA has not investigated these claims or denied them. Nutritionists warn people about the ingredients of these addictive drinks, but young people still drink them. Many people claim they really do give energy but with what?
Although there are millions of brands of energy drinks out there, they all share some common ingredients: Taurine, carnatine, ginseng, caffeine, and sodium. Taurine is an amino acid that our bodies produce naturally. Energy drink brands claim that Taurine adds to the effect caffeine, but this hasn’t been proven. Caranatine is also an amino acid that is produced by our livers and kidneys. It is used to boost energy levels and to build muscles. Ginseng is a stimulant from the Chinese. It is not dangerous and can help our body become resistant to stress. It is through these ingredients that alter and boost your energy levels. It looks good enough, but energy drinks also contain deadly ingredients. Caffeine blocks the effects of adenosine, which is a chemical related to sleep. Caffeine also boosts dopa-mine levels which make your mood good. The altering of dopa-mine levels leads to caffeine addiction. People that suffer from caffeine addiction believe that they can’t live without it. In just one bottle of Rockstar Energy Drink, there contains 5x the amount of caffeine in a regular Coke. Besides having caffeine, energy drinks often contain high levels of sodium. Sodium is a necessity for human life, but in high quantities can cause heart problems and high blood pressure. From these deadly ingredients, people that drink energy drinks regularly for a couple of days will start to see adjustments in their minds and bodies, such as depression, not enough nutrition, and fatigue. As you can see, there are no secret extracts put in there to give you energy. Energy drinks are just a concoction of random herbs and acids mixed in with Caffeine and Sodium.
Whether you drink them or not, nutritionists say it maybe beneficial if you drink energy drinks. However, it needs to be balanced with a good diet and rest. Even if you can’t get mass and a constant for energy, you can always grab an energy drink.

Now I am looking for a person who can make business with me. I don’t know what do you do? and I also don’t know whether you are interest in the business. However, this is the chance for me and i should have a try.
I’ve only been to Canada once, and till then I have no chance to go any other country. So what I can only do is search the person who want to make business with me via internet.
If you want to communicate with me in detail, please send me email.
Thanks
My name is Maple, My email is : Mapplex@gmail.com
Hmm that is pretty interesing. I never knew that evergy drinks have so much caffeine. Does anyone know if it is just Rockstar with the large amount of Caffeine or do other brands like Monster Energy have it too?
I believe that most brands of energy drinks have the same amount. I am sure a look at the nutrition facts would check if I am correct.
Those things make me sick. When I feel like crap after a night on the town, drinking a ton of caffeine is a poor alternative to sleeping all day.
sugar is always up there on the ingredients list
@Usman i came across a site once that told you how many drinks it would take to die from caffine poisoning for different energy drinks: they definitely differ in amount
Oh nice find Jabapyth. I did not write this article by the way, my friend did. Anyways, yes I agree Safe Investor, these taste horrible.
And one other question…these drinks never work on me at ALL, what about you??!?!?!?
i have a friend who lives on caffeine tablets… but ive never tried any
caffeine tablets? I heard of sugar tablets for diabetes but not caffeine
it helps him stay up late
Very interesting post.
Another word of caution, I just read an article on sodium benzoate mentioning it may be unsafe — and potentially damage DNA.
Bleh. Chemicals today..
