New Line of Shoes Aren’t Made for Wearing
Sep 9th, 2007 by Alex
NEW YORK- Finje Sharbercrombie, a leader in the design world, is launching a new line of shoes called the Unwearables. These shoes are not your typical flashy designer shoes that look pretty but are hard to wear. Instead, these shoes can’t be worn at all. The shoes are made purely for decoration purposes and start at $800 dollars a pair.
“Well we think that as the rich get richer, they want a new way to decorate their mansions,†Matt Carl, CEO of Finje Shabercrombie, spoke to the public. “These shoes are great for decoration for any bare room. Guests will no doubt admire the beauty of the shoes even though they can’t be worn.â€
This is the start of a movement where shoes are not only used for walking now. Pretty soon, shoes will start to be multi-functional like our cellphones. Of course, only the rich can participate in this movement.
“I think this is a great idea! I have so many bills lying around; some shoes to decorate my house would be a great investment.†Sheryl Crowburg, a multi millionaire, said.
Even though the idea has been accepted by the rich, many still criticize Finje Shabercrombie for releasing the Unwearables.
“This goes to show how filthy rich we Americans have gotten. Buying shoes for decoration? There are millions starving out there without food,†Paul Rutcher, an economist, said.
